DEMO Update 1.1 & 1.2


If you have suggestions for the game, I'd really love to hear them! This game is essentially my first proper game (it may be buggy and short since I am fairly new) but I will try to make as much progress as I can and definitely improve it as I go, thank you for understanding and trying the game out!

I recently did small updates into the demo to make sure new players will have a much more stable gameplay!
I have encountered a few bugs and other players have reported some of the bugs to me as well, thank you for reporting the bugs and suggestions!

WHAT CHANGES WERE IN THESE UPDATES?

[1.1]

  • Sacred areas such as the moon switches and the temple selection screen will now prevent you from jumping for reasons that will be revealed in the future chapters.
  • Fixed a bug where a panel and a button were invisible in the Mushroom Cliffs level causing the player to return to the main menu when you click a certain area in the screen.

[1.2]

  • Fixed a bug where the player can get stuck / frozen before or after a memory plays when they jump, has jumped or has been in the jumping state when the memory played.
  • Fixed a bug where the player was also able to bug out of the playing memory before it plays and will cause you to be able to move in the screen while in the memory playing state.
  • Fixed a bug where the player can boost themselves higher than the mushroom jump height in a very specific condition where they are holding the space bar and hit the corner of the mushrooms.
  • Fixed bugs within the animations that will sometimes cause the player to be stuck in a falling animation even when they are grounded when they hit a corner.
  • The mushroom colliders have been extended to match the actual width of the mushroom to prevent confusion. The mushrooms now have a small animation when you jump on them, boing!
  • I also tried making my code cleaner and easier to manage (for me atleast), optimized and fixed some minor errors that were bugging me.

Every Update, I will try to show a sneak peek of future things that will be added as well as some small details that might not be too story heavy but are still important within the story.
